It's been a while, but Words & Unwords, with a focus on intelligent science humor, has been advertising on and with Journal of Irreproducible Results, the science humor magazine!

If you're into specialized scientific humor, illuminating science with a dose of experimental fun, you'll enjoy JIR. Here's a quote on what JIR is all about:

New project for the year is to increase exposure of bringing intentional scientific humor to more people. Words & Unwords has teamed up with the Indie Exhibit to include select gift items in the gift bags at various events such as the Golden Globes. What is the the Indie Exhibit? I was wondering myself a while ago. The Indie Exhibit (The IndiExhibit) started out as a group of artists that connected on Facebook where they promoted each others work until one day it took them all the way to LA. Essentially, the IndiExhibit is a small group of uber talented artisans from around the world who contribute their products to some of the top Hollywood event gift lounges. Why associate Words & Unwords with Hollywood event gift lounges? It's no mistake that movies and television have gotten more complicated over the past decades. What may have worked in the 1980s in terms of plot and storyline, certainly would not work today -- not with living in today's media-dominated age. With the broad discipline of math and science -- biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, psychology -- you name it -- going in different directions in art, film, and television, much of science and its specialized disciplines have become part of popular culture. The time is ripe for expanding the horizons of science humor to the masses in everyday life. No need to work as a specialist in a field to understand disciplines such as statistics or DNA replication. So, for this year, Words & Unwords will be in product only at various events, such as the 2011 Golden Globes, the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, and the 2011 Emmys. It's time to test hypotheses and distribute intelligent humor to the masses! It is certainly worth a try!
